The world's first large-section horseshoe shield machine--"Mongolia" jointly developed by CTCE Group and China Railway Equipment booted in the Mongolian-Chinese railway Baicheng tunnel. This is the first time using horseshoe shield method in the China railway mountain soft soil tunnel excavation which marks the construction of China's railway tunnel mechanization, automation and modernization to a new stage.
The length of Mongolian-Chinese railway Baicheng tunnel is 3,345 m, and the maximum depth is 81.05 m. It is designed as a double-track electrified railway tunnel that speeds 120 km per hour.
