The railway between Addis Ababa and Djibouti is the first transnational standard modern electrified railway in Africa. The 752.7 km railway connects Addis Ababa, the Capital of Ethiopia and Djibouti, the Capital of Djibouti. With the total investment of $4 billion, the designed speed of this railway is 120 km per hour, and there are 45 stations which also adopt the standard and equipments manufactured by China.
