"Look at the black stork! This kind of birds is rarely seen!" Wetland Park, Hongze Lake, Sihong district, with the national level protection black--stork birds, attracted many tourists stopped to watch on 2nd January.
A wounded bird suddenly founded by a staff of CTCE Group who was on the way to work, and he asked the police for help as soon as possible. The local police arrived and deliver this bird to Sihong Forestry Center for treatment on 27th December last year.
Sihong Forestry Science and Technology Promotion Center identified this bird was black stork which is the national first protection level bird. After several days of careful care, this black stork had been gradually better.
According to the introduction of bird expert--Huang Yuanguo, black stork, also known as black giant chicken, it is live on fish and other small animals. It habitats and foragein less disturbing canals, streams, lakes, farmland and grassland. The world is only remaining about 2,000, and the survival in China is about 1000.
