On April 10, 2023 Construction Work Conference ofGuangdong Water Resources Allocation Project around Beibu Gulf and Working Meeting of Leading Group on Safety Production and Quality was held in Zhanjiang. The meeting summarized the construction work of the Guangdong Water Resources Allocation Project around Beibu Gulf in the year 2023, made arrangements for the work in the year 2024, and commended the excellent participating units and excellent workers in the year 2023.
Surrounding the Beibu Gulf Guangdong Water Resources Allocation Project has a total length of about 490 kilometers, taking water from the main stream of Xijiang River in Yunfu City, Guangdong Province, and transmitting it to 112 townships in four cities including Zhanjiang through water pipeline, which is convenient for more than 18 million residents, and it is a major water conservancy project with the largest scale of investment, the longest water transmission line, the most complicated construction conditions and the widest scope of influence in Guangdong Province so far.
