Liu Bo, Party secretary and chairman of China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4), has conducted work talks with Zhou Tianwei, Party secretary and director of Anhui Provincial Department of Emergency Management (APDEM), in a bid to boost bilateral cooperative ties.
Liu met with Zhou and some other officials from APDEM, including Li Dahua and Pang Shilei, on December 18, 2023 at the CREC4 headquarters. He was accompanied by Zhu Xiaoyong, a member of the Standing Committee of CPC Committee at CREC4, deputy general manager and chief economist of CREC4, and chief of CREC4 South China Regional Operations Command, Liu Guang, a member of the Standing Committee of CPC Committee at CREC4 and deputy general manager of CREC4, and Zhang Feng, CREC4 Safe Production Superintendent, director of CREC4 Safety and Quality Department, and captain of CREC4 Safety and Quality Inspection Brigade.
While briefing Zhou and his entourage on CREC4’s progress on work safety and emergency management, Liu noted that CREC4 has always prioritized safe construction and engineering, by adhering to a policy of “taking work safety as the No 1 task, and focusing on prevention and comprehensive management”, firmly establishing a people-centered development concept, and continuously perfecting its emergency management system.
Zhou stressed that as a landmark unit of the centrally-administered China Railway Group Limited — a World Top 500 enterprise, CREC4 is a large construction enterprise with comprehensive construction capacities, which for the past five years has netted in a production scale and business income of over 100 billion yuan ($14.9 billion) each. By strictly implementing its main responsibility as an enterprise, CREC4 has established a work safety and quality management system, with its capability in safe production management markedly elevated, Zhou said. He hoped both sides can leverage their respective strength, and usher in a mechanism in emergency coordination and resources sharing, so as to bolster emergency command and collaborative response capabilities.
Before the talks, Liu also accompanied Zhou and other APDEM officials in visiting related museums and displays at the CREC4 headquarters.
