A toll station and its connecting lines, renovated and upgraded by China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4), have opened to traffic in Yibin, a prefecture-level city in Southwest China’s Sichuan Province.
The toll station and its connecting lines, located in the eastern side of Yibin High-tech Industrial Park and renovated by builders from CREC4 Sixth Engineering Co., Ltd, opened to traffic at zero hour of October 19, 2023. The entry and exist points of the High-tech Zone Toll Station were expanded from the previous three entry points and four exist points to the current five entry points and seven exist points, while the bridge deck is designed with six lanes in both directions.
They are all part of the West Section of Yibin Ring-Road Expressway, which is also part of the S4 Chengdu-Yibin-Zhaotong Expressway. CREC4’s renovation project mainly includes roadbed engineering, bridge engineering, culvert engineering, housing engineering, traffic safety engineering, mechanical and electrical installation engineering, as well as greening.
Upon operation, the project will effectively elevate the level of urban accessibility, speed up the internal and external circulation of the city, and play a key role as the “West Gate” of Yibin’s central urban areas.
