A 290-meter-long cable-stayed bridge spanning Huaihe River in central Anhui Province, being built by constructors from China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4), has ushered in the successful pouring of the first lower crossbeam of its main tower.
Builders from CREC4 First Engineering Co., Ltd cast the first lower crossbeam of the main tower for the Huaihe River Super Bridge at Linhuaiguan on September 10, 2023. The bridge is the largest span cable-stayed bridge on Huaihe River.
The Huaihe River Super Bridge at Linhuaiguan is a key project at the Fengyang-Bengbu renovated section in Anhui of the G329 National Highway, which starts from Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province and ends at Lushan, Henan Province, with a total length of some 1,400 kilometers.
The Huaihe River Super Bridge at Linhuaiguan is a double-tower and double-cable plane cable-stayed bridge. The lower crossbeam of the main bridge, with a prestressed concrete single box single chamber structure and a circular curve layout on the bottom surface, used nearly 900 cubic meters of concrete for pouring in two stages.
It has been learned that upon completion of the project, it will be of vital importance in perfecting the planning and building of the regional highway transport network, enhancing the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta integration.
