A unit from China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4) has obtained two top prizes for the international competition in BIM (Building Information Modeling) field, its such honour for five consecutive years.
CREC4 Steel Structure Construction Co., Ltd won two first-prize of the BIM international competition on July 21 due to its two works — one for its BIM construction application on Guiwan River Bridge in Shenzhen’s Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industrial Cooperation Zone in Guangdong Province, and one for its EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) isolation point project for Feidong County health Station in Hefei, Anhui Province.
They were grouped in the Construction Category for the SMART BIM. Since the international competition was initiated in 2019, it is the fifth time that CREC4 Steel Structure Construction Co., Ltd won the first prize of the contest.Altogether, the company was obtained six first-prize from the competition.
The Smart BIM competition is a large-scale international competition in the field of BIM technology, mainly entering on the theme of “making buildings lifelike”. Consisting of four categories covering design, construction, comprehensive capability and academics, the contest aims to award works with digital technology content and innovative awareness in the industry. Meanwhile, the competition also aims to improve the comprehensive application abilities in building informatization technology of construction enterprises and academic institutions, cultivate more construction skilled personnel and boost the application of new technologies, so as to help promote digital transformation and seek high-quality development with new paths.
The two top prizes for CREC4 Steel Structure Construction Co., Ltd showcased its active improvement in BIM technology application capabilities, and also demonstrates the industry’s recognition of its strength in the field of BIM and information technology.
