The Chuzhou-Nanjing Intercity Railway, which starts from Chuzhou High-speed Railway Station and ends at Nanjing North Railway Station, extends for 54.6 kilometers. China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4) undertakes part of Phase-I and part of Phase-II of the Chuzhou section of the Chuzhou-Nanjing Intercity Railway, with a total length of 17.08 kilometers. CREC4’s job, undertaken by CREC4 First Engineering, covers seven viaduct bridges, five viaduct stations (including two reserved stations), one prefabrication beam yard (including 326 precast beams, two sections of subgrade, as well as ballastless tracks and track laying work extending for 26.63 km.

Since starting their work on the No 2 bid of the Phase-II of Chuzhou-Nanjing Intercity Railway, more than 1,000 CREC4 builders have spent some 1,600 days on the construction sites to ensure the success in their engineering work.

Upon operation, the Chuzhou-Nanjing Intercity Railway will largely boost the integration of Chuzhou and Nanjing, the two neighboring cities in the two provinces.

Besides the Chuzhou-Nanjing Intercity Railway, the two provinces are also building an intercity railway connecting Anhui’s Maanshan City with Nanjing, aiming to better boost the integration of the Yangtze River Delta region.
