Han Yonggang, general manager of China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd, has paid a visit to a construction site of CREC4 Second Engineering Co., Ltd, examining its work and offering his guidance for further progress.

Geng Jin, CREC4 Business Manager and chief of CREC4 East China Regional Operations Command, and leaders from CREC4 Second Engineering Co., Ltd, CREC4 Shanghai Branch Co., Ltd and CREC4’s Anhui China Railway Engineering Technology Co., Ltd, also accompanied Han in his tour on June 16 to the VII Bid project for Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Railway. The project is part of the Taicang-Situan section of Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Railway.

After touring the related facilities and hearing work reports, Han urged the CREC4 participants to pay full attention to four areas of work to boost the construction work. First, it is vital to build high-quality beam prefabrication yard and boost intelligent technologies to ensure a “quality project.” Second, it is necessary to propel the development of a big business management system in a bid to boost work efficiency. Third, it is a must to strengthen work-safety control to offer counter plans and avoid any risks. And lastly, it is imperative to safeguard the quality of the project so as to enhance the awareness of a gem project, and advance CREC4’s steady progress in nearby related business regions.

Located in southern Jiangsu as well as the coastal areas and Yangtze River regions in Shanghai, the Taicang-Situan section of Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Railway starts from Taicang Station of Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Railway in the north and connects with the Situan Station of Shanghai Pudong Railway in the south.

Previously, the first phase of Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Railway, extending for 137.47 kilometers as a national class-I double-line electrified fast railway affording passenger and freight transport to link Shanghai and Nantong City in neighboring Jiangsu Province, was put into operation on July 1, 2020. Once operation, the new line will help boost the development of Shanghai’s Pudong New Area, the Lin-Gang Special Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Area, elevating the radiant influence of Shanghai’s city proper.
