Members of a special field research group, sent from the centrally-administered China Railway Group Limited — the parent company of China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4), have conducted their field research at CREC4 headquarters on building a world-class enterprise.
Liu Bo, Party secretary and chairman of CREC4, Wang Tianjun, a member of the Standing Committee of CPC Committee at CREC4, CREC4 chief accountant, secretary of the Board of Directors at CREC4, and CREC4 chief compliance officer, and leaders from relevant CREC4 departments met on October 27 with the visitors — namely Wen Limin, a non-executive director of the Board of Directors at CREC, Zhang Cheng, independent none-executive director of the Board of Directors at CREC, He Wen, secretary of the Board of Directors and director of the Assessment and Distribution Department at CREC, Geng Shubiao, assistant to CREC President and director of the Planning and Development Department (Enterprise Management Laboratory) of CREC, and Duan Yinhua, securities affairs representative and director of the Board Office at CREC.
Wen Limin lauded CREC4’s achievements in six areas in historical inheritance, Party building work, corporate governance, business performance, corporate culture and work atmosphere, voicing suggestions on three aspects, including enhancing strategic research to plan for the transformation and further development of CREC4, consolidating asset quality and boosting value-creation capabilities, as well as solidifying risk prevention and control capabilities.
Zhang Cheng called on CREC4 to make further contributions for CREC in building a world-class enterprise. He said it is imperative for CREC4 to focus on the target in building a world-class enterprise, boosting high-quality development, and eyeing widening global market to seize the opportunities in the Belt and Road Initiative.
He Wen conveyed the work requirements from CREC on CREC4, while making an analysis on the development situation of construction market and the scale of enterprise development.
Geng Shubiao made four suggestions on boosting CREC4’s further development as a pioneering unit of CREC. It is vital for CREC4 to deepen reform, optimize industrial structure, pay attention to mechanism innovation, and speed up innovations in science and technology, he said.
Duan Yinhua lauded CREC4’s achievements in cultural inheritance, development performance, and building of the Board of Directors, offering her suggestions on how to make better use of the capital market.
While making a special report on such key issues as enterprise development, Board of Directors operation, investment and development, and financial management to the visitors, Liu Bo also reported CREC4’s work in building a world-class enterprise, and sticking to its development goals of “four strong capabilities and five excellence performance”, by focusing on nine areas covering strategy boost, market operations, industrial structure, deepening reforms, science and technology innovations, as well as Party building.
During their stay, members of the field research group also visited some construction sites of CREC4.
