Builders from China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4), who are helping build a key expressway in Nanyang, one of the 17 prefecture-level cities in Central China’s Henan province, have successfully erected the first prefabricated box girder on the road.
Nanyang, which borders Shaanxi province in the west and Hubei province in the south, is speeding up construction on 10 transport projects this year to meet the better-travel need of its over 12 million residents. Nanyang administers two districts, 10 counties and one county-level city of Dengzhou.
Builders from CREC4 First Engineering completed erecting prefabricated box girder on July 6 on the Diaohe No 1 Bridge on the No 2 bid of the Nanyang-Dengzhou Expressway, a 67-kilometer road being partially built by CREC4 and aiming at fast links with northwestern Hubei.
The Nanyang-Dengzhou Expressway starts at the Zhanghuagang Hub Interchange —the intersection of Shanghai-Xi’an Expressway and Ereenhot-Guangzhou Expressway, and ends at Zhaolou Hub Interchange, which is the intersection of Neixiang-Dengzhou Expressway and the expressway linking Dengzhou with the boundary of Henan and Hubei provinces.
CREC4 is building 32.8 kilometers of the Nanyang-Dengzhou Expressway, which officially kicked off its construction on December 24, 2021.
