CREC4-built expressway diversion project opens to traffic2023-01-19 13:58:59

A road diversion project built by China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4) for renovating the Changchun-Shenzhen Expressway, dubbed the G25 that extends for 3585 kilometers through 11 provinces and municipalities and was opened to traffic on December 22, 2020, has opened to traffic, providing convenience for travelers.

The CSGY-TJ Bid road diversion project, undertaken by CREC4 Fourth Engineering Co Ltd for relocating the parallel section of Changchun-Shenzhen Expressway, was put into operation on January 17 and will be used for road construction.

The Changchun-Shenzhen Expressway starts at Lyuyuan District in Changchun City of Jilin Province, and ends at Yantian Port in Shenzhen City of Guangdong Province. The relocation project of its parallel section starts from the Shangfang Interchange and ends at the designed Chunhua Interchange, with a total length of 6.57 kilometers.

The relocation part is divided into a southern section and a northern section, of which the northern section extends from Shangfang Interchange to Dongshan Transport Hub, while the southern section runs from Dongshan Transport Hub to Jiangning Service Area. The base section of the whole line is 5.671 km long while the bridge section is 905.32 meters long.

Upon completion, the project will help boost the construction and operation of the Yangtze South Bank Intercity Railway in Jiangsu Province, which will link the cities of Nanjing, Jurong, Changzhou, Jiangyin, Zhangjiagang, Changshu and Taicang.
