CREC4 builders help bolster urban rail transit in Guiyang2022-12-26 17:23:42

A train parking area on Line 3 of Guiyang Urban Rail Transit in Southwest China’s Guizhou Province, installed and decorated by China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4), has ushered in its first electric train, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent trial operation of the line.

The Huaxi (Flower Stream) South Parking Area, in a triangular shape with one side against the mountain, one side against a village and another side against a road, greeted the first electric train on December 16.

The parking lot, with a total building area of 32,079.28 square meters, includes business and office buildings, electric power substation, washing garages, maintenance staff accommodation buildings and outdoor auxiliary facilities.

The first phase of Line 3 is 43.03 kilometers long, starting from Tongmuling in Huaxi District and ending at Luowan in Wudang District. With 29 stations in total, the project also includes one train depot, one parking area, three main electric power substations and one operation control center.

CREC4 Installation Co., Ltd was in charge of the No 1 Bid of the installation and decoration works for the first phase of Line 3, with jobs covering electromechanical and decoration construction for Huaxi South Parking Area, access lines to Huaxi South Parking Area, as well as the section between Tongmuling Station and Taohuazhai Station (including Taohuazhai Station). The specific tasks include decorations, power lighting, ventilation and heating facilities, water supply, drainage and fire protection, civil air-defense doors, gas fire-extinguishing facilities, and station auxiliary equipment.

Since starting their work in May 2022, builders from CREC4 Installation Co., Ltd have followed detailed work plans to make sure that every working process progress smoothly as scheduled.

As a key public well-being project in Guiyang, the provincial capital of Guizhou, the Line 3 of Guiyang Urban Rail Transit is a north-south transport artery traversing the major city-proper districts of Huaxi, Nanming, Yunyan and Wudang and linking the populous regions of Huaguoyuan, Beijing Road and Dayingpo. Upon completion, it will help bolster the local transport capacities.
