Constructors from China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4) ushered in the topping-out at a station on Line 6 of Nanjing Metro on December 19 in East China’s Jiangsu Province, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction.
The top-out at Zhongheqiao (Zhonghe Bridge) Station of Line 6 was undertaken by CREC4 Fourth Engineering, which said the construction of Line 6 is conducive in perfecting the overall transport structure of Nanjing, and bolstering its urban reconstruction, exploration and development by bringing significant social, economic and environmental benefits.
Laid in a north-south direction, Zhongheqiao Station is a three-story underground platform station with a three-span island form. With a structural length of 147.5 meters and an average burial-depth of some 25.15 meters, the station has been constructed with an open excavation method.
Since the start of the construction work, the CREC4 project department has reasonably allocated its resources and effectively solved the construction problems in face of such difficulties as small construction site and environmental disturbances, enhancing the construction progress and fulfilling its task as scheduled.
