Constructors from CREC4 Steel Structure Construction Co., Ltd installed the last transfer beam on the bridge on December 3, marking the installation of all the straddle transfer beams for it.

The 493-meter-long project, including the bridge itself which is 211.5 meters long, is scheduled to usher in its full completion by the end of 2023. It is invested by Shenzhen Qianhai Construction Investment Holding Group. The bridge is a two-span steel box girder bridge with a total weight of some 12,500 metric tons.

Situated at the mouth of Guiwan River emptying into Qianwan Bay, the project starts in the south at the intersection of Linhai Avenue and Qianwan 1st Road, and ends at the intersection of Linhai Avenue and Haibin Avenue in the north. It is a landscape bridge which sits on the Linhai Avenue (Sea-Bordering Avenue) and traverses the Guiwan River in a water sightseeing corridor.

The north side of the bridge is 183.2 meters away from the intersection of Linhai Avenue and Binhai Avenue, while its south side is 97.3 meters away from the intersection of Linhai Avenue and Qianhai Avenue.

It has been learned that upon completion, the project will help perfect Qianhai area’s regional transport network, and boost its internationalization drive.

The Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industrial Cooperation Zone, established on August 26, 2010, plans to build 11 landscape bridges, six of which have been completed and put into use so far.
