Liu Bo, Party secretary and chairman of China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd (CREC4), has met in Jiangxi Province with senior leaders of prefecture-level Pingxiang City, conducting in-depth exchanges and reaching consensus on deepening bilateral cooperation.
In a meeting on October 20 with Liu Shuo, deputy secretary of CPC Pingxiang Municipal Committee and mayor of Pingxiang, as well as Liu Renyi, vice-mayor of Pingxiang, Liu Bo briefed the Pingxiang leaders on CREC4’s overall development in recent years and its investment and construction work in Pingxiang in western Jiangxi.
Liu Bo noted that located in the radiance area of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Economic Circle in neighboring Hunan Province, and in a central position in the economic development of western Jiangxi, Pingxiang has a superior geographical location and remarkable regional advantages with its status as the “West Gate” of Jiangxi. He hoped that both parties jointly widen their cooperation areas, innovate investment and financing methods, and bolster bilateral cooperation in such spheres as infrastructure construction, parks and zones development, urban renovation, water environmental protection, engineering materials and information modernization, in a bid to create a goal of building Pingxiang into “a most beautiful city for economic and social transition” and usher in mutual benefit and win-win achievement.
Following the meeting, the CREC4 chairman also conducted talks with Liu Renyi, who welcomed Liu and his entourage for the visit to Pingxiang and extended his congratulation to CREC4 for its marked high-quality development in recent years.
The vice-mayor stressed that as one of the main birthplaces of modern industry in China, and dubbed a “Coal Capital South of the Yangtze River” and a “major industrial city”, Pingxiang as been seeking active changes and accelerating its transformation and upgrade. Noting that CREC4 is a landmark unit of the centrally-administered China Railway Group Limited with its immense advantages of strong power and high-quality talent, he welcomed such a powerful enterprise to seek development and construction work in Pingxiang, and participate in land development and urban infrastructure construction. He hoped that CREC4 can give into full play of its advantages, concentrate more resources and energy to achieve win-win development for both sides.
Zhu Xiaoyong, deputy general manager and chief economist of CREC4, Zhang Jun, assistant general-manager of CREC4 and director of CREC4 Investment and Development Department, and leaders from CREC4 Central and South China Regional Operations Command, and CREC4 Fourth Engineering Co., Ltd, also attended the meeting and the talks.
