Han Yonggang, general manager of China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd, has met with Luo Haishan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Chongzuo Municipal Committee and executive vice-mayor of Chongzuo, conducting in-depth exchanges and reaching major consensus on cooperation in related fields.

While meeting Luo in Guangxi on October 11, Han expressed his gratitude to Chongzuo City for its long-term trust and support, briefing Luo on CREC4’s overall development, and was glad to see future bilateral cooperation in such spheres as water conservancy and hydropower, industrial parks and urban area development.
Han noted that as a major node in the China-Vietnam “Two Corridors and One Circle” construction and the Nanning Singapore Economic Corridor, Chongzuo is also a city with the most border ports in China. The “Two Corridors” refer to the economic corridors of linking Kunming and Old Street with Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, and connecting Nanning and Langshan with Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, while the “One Circle” refers to the Beibu Gulf Economic Circle.
Han stressed that while solidifying its existing construction work in Chongzuo, CREC4 will enhance all-round and in-depth cooperation with the city, explore new businesses such as water conservancy and hydropower, and make positive contributions to Chongzuo in building a modern gateway city in southern China.
While welcoming Han and his entourage for the visit to the city, Luo also expressed his thanks to CREC4 for building the Detianfu dilapidated house reconstruction project in a safe, high-quality and efficient manner. Rich in natural resources and dubbed the “Sugar Capital” and the “Manganese Capital” of China, Luo said, Chongzuo also has a plethora of tourist attractions, such as Detian Falls —a transnational waterfall, and Huashan Rock Paintings — a world cultural heritage. He noted that while accelerating work in rural vitalization, industries, port construction and tourism in recent years, Chongzuo enjoys a strong momentum in development and has broad future prospects. Luo hoped that based on existing bilateral cooperation, the two sides can expand their partnership, and usher in mutual benefit and win-win development.

In another development, following the talks with Luo, Han also conducted a field research on October 12 at the dilapidated housing renovation project in Detianfu, which is undertaken by CREC4.
During the trip, Han examined the construction work, and listened to reports on work safety and anti-COVID work, giving his full affirmation to their work. Han called on the participating staffers to elevate their political standing by prioritizing on anti-COVID measures and work safety. Meanwhile, the staff members should also prioritize work safety, and bolster quality control, so as to build the housing project into a high-quality undertaking and a model demonstration project.
Zhu Xiaoyong, deputy general manager and chief economist of CREC4, Zhang Jun, assistant general-manager of CREC4 and director of CREC4 Investment and Development Department, and leaders from CREC4 Central and South China Regional Operations Command, CREC4 Construction Engineering Company and CREC4 Seventh Engineering Co., Ltd, also attended the meetings and the field research.

It is learned that the Detianfu dilapidated house reconstruction project is located at the intersection of You’ai North Road and Mingxiu East Road at Xixiangtang District under Nanning City and has a total construction area of 984,000 square meters. The project is to have 23 residential buildings, an auxiliary commercial area of 56,000 square meters, a primary school housing 24 classes and a kindergarten accommodating 12 classes. Upon completion, the project can accommodate 12,000 to 15,000 residents, which can effectively bolster the urbanization in Nanning, and improve the living conditions and environment of the local people.
