CREC4 partially-built project for 2022 Asian Games put into operation2022-09-28 08:25:39

The Huzhou-Hangzhou section of the Hangzhou-Hangzhou High-speed Railway, a guarantee project serving the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, was officially put into operation on September 22, with a launchceremony held at Hangzhou West Railway Stationin East China’s Zhejiang Province.

The 137.8-kilometer section, with six stations allowing trains to run at a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour and a total investment of 37.027 billion yuan ($5.27 billion), was partially built by China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4). The six stations are named Huzhou, Deqing, Hangzhou West, Fuyang West, Tonglu East and Tonglu East stations. Among them, the three stations of Hangzhou West, Fuyang West and Tonglu East are newly-built ones.

The Hefei-Hangzhou HSR is a key line linking Hefei, capital city of Anhui Province, with Huzhou and Hangzhou, capital city of Zhejiang. It is also part of the Beijing-Shanghai Transport Corridor among the nation’s “eight vertical and eight horizontal” HSR network.

Earlier, the line’s Hefei-Huzhou section started its construction on November 30, 2015, while its Huzhou-Hangzhou section commenced its construction on September 17, 2019. The Hefei-Huzhou section was put into operation on June 28, 2020.

It has been learned that the Huzhou-Hangzhou section is an important transport supporting project to serve and guarantee the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. Builders from CREC4 Second Engineering Co., Ltd helped build the section.
