The Materials Industry & Trade Co Ltd of China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4) has set up a smart manufacturing and smart logistics base in Fuyang, Anhui province, giving full play to the advantages of State-owned enterprises’ resource integration and intelligent manufacturing technology.
A demonstration ceremony was held for visitors on July 27 in the base, which has an investment of 120 million yuan ($17.9 million) on a land of 8.4 hectares.
The base includes a steel structure workshop of 15,580 square meters, as well as a container and bulk cargo yard of 38,000 square meters.
Currently, the base carries the highest intelligent standard in the country in making and delivering steel scaffolding and supporting components for new building materials to clients.
Meanwhile, it is also a smart logistics warehousing base focusing on steel products. It integrates warehousing, loading and unloading, transport, distribution, delivery, goods transit, inter-modal transport, freight forwarding, steel trading and information services.
It has been learned that the base is expected to provide more than 200 jobs to residents in Fuyang City each year and creates an industrial output value of 600 million yuan ($89.5 million), thus playing a boosting role in helping accelerate the industrialization development of Fuyang and revitalize its real economy.
