First, it is imperative to reasonably arrange the construction period to safeguard the successful accomplishment of all project nodes. Second, it is a must to pay top attention to flood control and typhoon prevention, in a bid to ensure the work safety. Third, it is vital to handle well the heatstroke prevention and cooling work, to safeguard the builders’ health and project safety. A bird’s eye view of Songshan Lake Waterworks in Dongguan, Guangdong Province.

Located in the Jinduo Port area of Songshan Lake, the Songshan Lake Waterworks will provide a daily production of tap water at 1.1 million cubic meters, and will be the largest monomer water plant in Asia. The project adopts a water production process of “pretreatment + conventional treatment + ozone activated carbon + membrane treatment + safe disinfection.”

Upon completion, the water plant will provide high-quality tap water for residents in eight downs and streets, including Songshan Lake, Dalang, Dalingshan, Chang’an and the central district. Meanwhile, it will be also of major significance in reducing the impact of upward salt tide on tap water for residents in Dongguan, and safeguarding the safe water supply for them.
