Liu Bo, Party secretary and chairman of China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd (CREC4), has met in Kunming with senior leader of Yunnan International Power Investment Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of centrally-administered State Power Investment Corporation Limited, conducting in-depth exchanges and reaching consensus on deepening bilateral cooperation.
In a meeting on May 16 with Wu Zhiquan, Party secretary and chairman of SPIC Yunnan International Power Investment Co., Ltd, Liu expressed his gratitude on Wu’s warm reception and briefed him on CREC4’s overall progress. Liu noted that as the largest new energy power generation company in Yunnan Province, Yunnan International Power Investment takes a leading position in Yunnan in the spheres of new energy, photovoltaic power generation, and wind power installed capacity, with assets spreading in Yunnan, Guizhou, Hubei, Jiangxi and other provinces, and businesses spanning hydropower, wind power, photovoltaic, and comprehensive smart energy and material trade. By giving into full play of CREC4’s advantages as an integrated contractor of the whole industry chain covering engineering construction, investment and development, operation management, overseas engineering and engineering services, Liu said, it is hoped that the two parties can further enhance bilateral cooperation, so as to jointly expand cooperation in such areas as clean energy construction and smart energy construction, so as to achieve coordinated industrial development.

Established in July 2015 through the restructuring of the former China Power Investment Corporation and State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation, the SPIC is a large key State-owned enterprise directly under the central government of China.
While welcoming Liu and his entourage for the visit, Wu noted that his company is committed to building a zero-carbon development model with “professional, regional and internationalized” operations, and with a coordinated development pattern with operations both at home and abroad. Noting that as a landmark unit of the centrally-administered China Railway Group Limited, CREC4 has immense advantages of capital, leading technologies and resources, Wu hoped the two parties can deepen cooperation mode, and strengthen strategic cooperation in the fields of clean energy development, engineering construction, international business, Party building and interaction, in a bid to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
In another development, Liu Bo also met in Kunming on May 17 with Wang Bin, Party secretary and chairman of Yunnan Water Conservancy & Hydropower Investment Co., Ltd (YCIH), conducting in-depth exchanges on deepening bilateral cooperation.
