The highly-mechanized unit allows long rails to be laid accurately in a short time. It saves manpower and is of great significance in areas with a harsh environment.
In recent years, China has carried out research on related intelligent technology in combination with the Internet of Things, big data, laser scanning positioning and other high-tech areas.
The railway, running through many poverty-stricken areas in Central China including Hubei and Hunan provinces, helps to boost local tourism and economic activity.
The construction of the railway has been basically completed and is expected to be put into operation within this year.
