The first redevelopment project of a high-speed railway transport hub in Shenzhen, south China’s Guangdong Province is due to come to an end in early December. As the transportation “heart” of Shenzhen, the station is the city’s point of access for high-speed rail, local and long-distance buses, subway trains, and taxicabs. (Compiled by Yang Jiaqi)

The project will create two new railway lines connected to the station and add another train maintenance department while ensuring that the station scale remains unchanged and the railway line operates normally. The builders from China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group can only work when the train station is closed, from 12:30 to 4:30 am.

The completed Shenzhen North Railway Station will meet the needs of travelers and bring in the Gan (Ganzhou)-Shenzhen (Shenzhen) Railway. It will greatly enhance the role of Shenzhen North Railway Station as a transport hub, in addition to acting as a catalyst for the wider development and improvement of the area.
