China and Mauritania are traditional friendly with a solid relationship between the two countries. President Aziz of Mauritania said “The relation with China is always the priority direction of Mauritania foreign relation. Mauritania puts a high value on the development of cooperation with China.” As Aziz said, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in the past 52 years, bilateral relations have maintained in a high level and cooperation in various fields. In recent years, many Chinese enterprises are actively involved in Mauritanian economic, cultural and social development, especially in the field of infrastructure construction. CTCE Group, as a bench-marking member company of China Railway Group Limited which is the world's largest contractor is one of the dazzling enterprises. It has constructed the Presidential Palace, Prime Minister House, International Conference Center and other housing projects and Municipal Drainage and Rainwater System Project of Nouakchott. All construction projects are recognized by the government and people of Mauritania. During his visit to China in 2011, President Aziz visited CTCE Group and gave a high evaluation on the brand strength. During the construction period, CTCE Group has fulfilled social responsibility by the means of helping the poor, making financial donations to develop education and sending medicines, in order to help the people of Mauritania.
